Pietro DeFaveri’s farm was founded in 1993, in the small village of Monte, where Pietro began to cultivate hazelnuts. Driven by his love of agriculture, Pietro bought his first piece of land and, with the help of his wife Rosa, began to dedicate himself totally to the world of the hazelnut, specialising in the famous Tonda Gentile of Piedmont and passing his passion for quality and care on to his children Marco and Roberta.
And so, by uniting tradition and innovation, the products of DE FAVERI PIETRO were born.

The Tonda Gentile is considered to be the best variety of hazelnut in the world.
Indeed, it is acknowledged both for its excellent organleptic characteristics, and for its low fat content, which reduces the rate of the oils becoming rancid, and allows it to be stored for longer.
The shell is hard but thin, and thanks to its rounded shape, it is easy to shell quickly whilst the nut inside remains whole.
